

The adapter I have is a "Tiffen 44 Bay 6 adapter ring." Both adapter and hood are inexpensive, and it allows obviously for the use of any also inexpensive series 6 filter. The threads of the hood hold the filter (if you're using one) in place.

It attaches on the inner bayonet, but the adapter allows a series 6 filter to simultaneously be fitted. If you are looking for a lesser expensive alternative, you can get a bay 3 to series 6 adapter, and use a series 6 hood.
